Management Policy
Unchanging Business Model
Delivering Value through the Integration of Engineering Knowledge and Information Technology
Our Group has been providing value by combining "Engineering knowledge" and "Information technologies" to solve various social issues through a scientific approach. "Engineering knowledge" is the unique value generated by combining academic knowledge and empirical knowledge, which is accumulated through practical experience in the industrial world. By offering high-value-added engineering services based on this Engineering knowledge to address the unique challenges of our clients, we have earned the trust of numerous customers and developed a highly profitable consulting business. Moving forward, we will continue providing high-value-added services to realize a wise and thoughtful future society by effectively fusing engineering technology (Engineering knowledge) that has advanced since the 18th century with information technologies that have rapidly evolved since the mid-20th century.

Unchanging Standards for Value Creation
Collaboration with Academia
"To ensure that academic research remains socially relevant and contributes to the creation of knowledge that benefits society. This principle has been at the core of our Group's management philosophy since its founding. Established in 1956 as a university spin-off, our Group has always valued connections and human networks within the academic community. We continue to create numerous opportunities for our members to gain experience in diverse external organizations, actively engaging in industry-academia collaboration through joint research projects both inside and outside Japan, presentations at academic conferences, writing papers, contributing to and publishing in journals, lecturing activities, and secondments to universities. We will continue our bidirectional activities: serving as a bridge to disseminate academic achievements to the industrial world, while realizing new industry initiatives with the support of the academic community.
Collaboration with Overseas Partners
The proactive stance of introducing outstanding achievements from overseas to Japan, together with our collaboration with academia, has been a policy of our group since its founding and is part of the organisation's DNA. This distinctive business model—successfully establishing these cutting-edge technologies (engineering and information technologies) in the Japanese market through collaboration with overseas partners—plays a crucial role. Recently, we have been actively collaborating with companies that possess cloud services and hardware technologies, and dispatching our members to affiliated and invested companies. Through these initiatives, we are actively promoting marketing activities that involve learning new business models from emerging global services and diffusing/contributing these new technologies back to the Japanese society.

Expansion of Service Offerings
Cloud-Based Service
We create values through new service offerings while primarily focusing on the conventional contract-based Engineering Consulting business and the sales of software packages. In recent years, our new business —the subscription-type cloud services— has significantly contributed to the business expansion of our Group. Amid the rapid technological change, we will continue pursuing our philosophy of being a 21st-century knowledge-intensive firm that masters both tangible products (mono) and the design of intangible services and experiences (koto), so that we can provide mass-market cloud services utilizing information technologies. To that end, we will aim for the sustainable growth of the Group by implementing autonomous and agile decision-making and business operations that are adapted to the diversification of our business formats, along with the appropriate allocation of management resources focusing on "individuals".
Promoting Open Innovation
To achieve the concurrent goals of sustainable growth in existing businesses and the cultivation/development of new businesses, we will further enhance collaboration between departments within the Group and with our external partners. Especially when launching new businesses, we aim to promote open innovation activities through dual approaches: continuing to maintain and develop long-term relationships with universities and research institutions, and expanding partnerships with startup companies that can build Win-Win relationships. To facilitate this, we will encourage a free and active exploration of knowledge connecting internal and external resources, and we will create an organizational culture where members can proactively take on challenges while engaging in friendly competition. We will also continuously conduct business development activities so that various seeds can evolve into the core of our Group's next-generation businesses.
